Textiles of the Future

This online event will take place on Tuesday,  15 April 2025, 09:30-11:00.

Mrs. Cornelia Mohor from European Commission, DG GROW, unit G1, Tourism, Textiles
and Mr. Lutz Walter, the Secretary General of the European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing   will present the European Partnership Textiles of the Future, which is set to launch in 2025.

They will discuss the objectives, the policy context and the research and innovation strategy for the textile sector in Europe.

The discussion will be completed by  Professor Katarzyna Grabowska from Lodz University of Technology, Poland and Mr  António Braz Costa, the General Manager of CITEVE – The Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industry of Portugal, who will present the point of view of stakeholders on challenges and opportunities created by the new Partnership.

The panellists will be happy to answer questions from the audience explaining the establishment, programme and implementation of the Partnership. Therefore, participants are invited to raise issues during registration as well as to ask questions during the Q&A session.
